An Invitation to Look for Nuclear Proliferators in London
|
The London based Trident Ploughshares affinity group (the "Muriel Lesters") invite you to join them in London on February 24 - 26, just prior to the planned parliamentary vote on Trident replacement.
Basic accommodation has been arranged in east London
Our plan is to have groups of nuclear weapons inspectors moving around central London checking for nuclear proliferators. The Weapons Inspectors will be provided with white boiler suits to wear, with suitable logos attached. We will also provide a map of central London, with relevant sites marked on it. There will also be at least one group organised that individuals can join in with, as well as the pre-existing affinity groups.
Examples of sites which may warrant inspection are:
The Ministry of Defence
10 Downing Street
the Foreign Office
Houses of Parliament
UK HQ of Lockheed Martin
other company HQs involved in the ’nuclear chain’
Affinity groups and / or individuals could decide either to just knock / ’ask’ politely, or not to take ’no’ for an answer.... - ask to see the offices, check files, speak to certain individuals....
There will be a meeting of affinity groups and individuals on Sunday February 25th. This will take place at the convergence centre at -
The Crypt,
St Peter de Beauvoir Church
Northchurch Terrace
(just off De Beauvoir Road)
London N1
