Lord Advocate’s Reference

From Angie Zelter, 21st July 2000

To:- G J B Moynihan Q.C. Faculty of Advocates, Parliament House, Parliament Square, Edinburgh EH1 1RF.

Lord Advocate’s Chambers,

25 Chambers Street, Edinburgh EH1 1LA.

21/7/00

Dear Mr. Moynihan,

Thank you for your letter of 3rd July. I have just received a copy of this letter from the Lord Advocate that you will probably agree with me is at variance with your impression of whose interests you are meant to be serving in the LAR. He is under the impression that you have been appointed in respect of my position which as far as I can gather you have little knowledge of. You have not contacted me to ask me what my position is or even asked to see the detailed legal submissions that I presented at Greenock and which were handed to the Sheriff in written form along with detailed references.

I would be grateful if you would let me know in more detail what exactly your role will be in the LAR and how you will fulfil it. We cannot be expected to proceed with the LAR if there continues to be so much confusion over your role.

Yours in peace and love, Angie Zelter.
